about
ABOUT thirteen SPHERES
Throughout our lifetimes we will experience a myriad of changes in our bodies and emotions. Some of these if not approached correctly will become imbalances and in certain cases, disease.
The aim of Thirteen Spheres is to provide treatments and guidance to both prevent and heal these imbalances; to invite empowerment through knowledge so that our clients can form a deeper understanding of their body’s needs, and to offer a space for relaxation, release and transformation.
I do that by helping you find the nutrition and lifestyle practices that are right for you, your condition or stage of life. I teach you how to develop seasonal and cyclical rituals, inspired and led by nature. I give you manageable and accessible solutions that work with your life. I offer a space for you to be heard, and somewhere you can dedicate some time for deep rest and self-care.
Thirteen Spheres came about from a desire to share the many tools for self-healing that exist in the world with as many people as possible.
My offerings…
I currently offer several Ayurvedic Consultation packages alongside a range of holistic therapies, including in-person and remote Reiki treatments, Indian head massage, and Ayurvedic Facial Massage. A full list of offerings can be found here.
Alongside my 1:1 work, I also host regular Women’s Circles and wellbeing events.
If you would like me to provide a workshop at your event or are interested in collaborating, get in touch here. I’d love to hear from you.
meet carina
Hi, I’m Carina Wan, founder of Thirteen Spheres.
I am an Ayurvedic Consultant and Holistic Therapist with a deep interest in herbalism and traditional healing practices.
It is an interest that stems from my childhood, having been introduced to alternative and complementary medicines through my mother who would often take me to Mind Body Spirit festivals around the UK, sometimes as a guest and other times to help out on her stall (for her psychotherapy business).
I was always enthralled by the many ways in which we were able to learn about ourselves and the seemingly mystical tools on offer – many of which have since made their way into the mainstream. And it was at one of these events that I first experienced Reiki.
It seemed incredible that sitting in a chair for 15 minutes whilst a complete stranger stood with their hands gently on my shoulders could have such a profound effect on my sense of being.
Fast forward many years and I had all together forgotten this experience until Reiki found its way back into my life to help me emotionally heal following cancer treatment and a difficult break-up.
The seed was planted. But it didn’t take root until five years later when I decided my job in communications was doing me more harm than good. I knew I needed a career shift and found myself being drawn back towards the world of wellbeing, so in 2014 I decided to train as a Reiki Practitioner
It was a life-changing experience that acted as a catalyst for many other changes in my life and led me to continue my training to become a Reiki Master/Teacher.
In more recent years I have developed a new passion for the Vedic sciences and after studying under the tutorage of Dr Deepa Apte, in 2022 I qualified as an Ayurvedic Consultant. The depth of knowledge that Ayurveda and the other Vedic sciences (Yoga, Vaastu and Jyotish) has to offer never ceases to amaze me and I plan to be a lifelong student!
I have since completed courses in Marma Therapy, Indian Head Massage, Natural Facelift Massage and qualified as a Circle Facilitator and Breathwork Coach.
Combining this knowledge and these practices has become favourite way to work, whether I am tailoring treatments for clients or creating wellbeing events.
Nature has provided us with so many tools and remedies and discovering their potency is a constant source of wonder for me.
